Flexible & short-term leasing

3 month car lease

Long enough to be cheaper than renting, short enough to commit to nothing. The bridge product for probation periods, delayed orders and seasonal work.

Who a 3 month lease is for

Three months is the sweet spot for a specific set of problems: you need a vehicle now, you know roughly how long for, and committing to two, three or four years would be either impossible or expensive to unwind.

  • Probation periods. A new regional role comes with a car requirement and a six-month probation. A three-month lease covers the immediate need without betting on the outcome.
  • Delayed factory orders. Your new car has slipped by a quarter. Rather than extending a daily rental, bridge it on a short lease at a monthly rate.
  • Seasonal demand. Christmas delivery peaks, summer trade work, a project with a defined end date.
  • Trying before committing. Considering an EV or a larger vehicle? Three months of real use answers questions a test drive cannot.
  • Insurance write-offs and long repairs. When a claim drags on and the courtesy car runs out.

How a 3 month lease works here

  1. Choose a vehicle from our current stock. Everything listed is physically available, not a factory order.
  2. Apply online in three steps, uploading your licence, proof of address and bank statements.
  3. Get a decision, usually within 24 hours, from our own underwriting team rather than an automated scorecard.
  4. Arrange insurance — fully comprehensive, in your name, before delivery.
  5. Take delivery at your home or business address, typically 48–72 hours after approval.

After the initial term the agreement rolls on 28 days notice. You are never forced to decide at the three-month mark.

What is included

Road tax

Covered for the whole agreement — nothing to arrange or renew.

Breakdown cover

Included as standard, so a roadside failure is handled.

Nationwide delivery

To any UK mainland address, typically within 48–72 hours of approval.

Not included

Fuel and fully comprehensive insurance, which you arrange in your own name before delivery.

Three months versus the alternatives

Against daily rental, three months is almost always substantially cheaper — rental daily rates rarely fall far enough on a long booking to compete with a monthly rental figure.

Against a 6 month lease or a 12 month lease, three months costs more per month but commits you to less. If there is a realistic chance your need extends past six months, the longer term is usually better value — and you can always start at three and let it roll.

Credit and eligibility

Underwriting is done in-house. That means we assess affordability and your current circumstances rather than relying purely on an automated credit score, and we routinely approve applicants that mainstream providers decline — adverse credit, limited credit history, self-employed applicants without two years of accounts, and businesses trading under two years.

We are not able to approve everyone, and we will tell you quickly rather than leaving you waiting. An initial soft check establishes eligibility without affecting your credit score; a hard search only follows if you choose to proceed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I really lease a car for just 3 months?
Yes. Our minimum initial term starts at one month, so a three-month agreement is comfortably within range. Once your initial term ends the agreement continues on a rolling basis with 28 days notice, so you can hand the vehicle back at three months or keep it for longer without renegotiating.
Is a 3 month lease more expensive per month than 12 months?
Yes, generally. Shorter agreements cost more per month because the provider carries the vehicle for less time and has to remarket it sooner. If you are confident you need the vehicle for a year, a 12 month lease will have a lower monthly figure. If you are not confident, the flexibility is usually worth the premium.
What do I need to apply?
A full driving licence with a DVLA check code, proof of address, and three months of bank statements. Businesses may also be asked for basic company details. Our application walks through it in three steps and decisions typically come back within 24 hours.
What if I need the car longer than 3 months?
Nothing happens — the agreement simply rolls on. There is no renewal to negotiate and no new application. When you eventually want to return the vehicle, give 28 days notice and we collect it.
